The visual effects studio was established by the approval of the accreditation file by the accreditation commission at the Ministry of Education in June 2011.
On July 27, 2011, the Minister of Education, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic, Eugen Jurzyca, issued a decision on the accreditation of Bc. degree VFX at FTF VŠMU.
AVFX is the youngest studio in the structure of FTF VŠMU Bratislava.
This approval by the AVFX was preceded by a meeting of the Academic Senate , voting of the FTF VŠMU Scientific Council , and approval of the FTF VŠMU Academic Senate . The establishment of the studio was mainly due to prof. Ladislav Carny, Doc. Anton Szomolányi, doc. Milan Rasla, prof. Jozef Hardoš. prof. Ľudovít Labík.
Accreditation of visual effects of the master's degree was approved by the Minister of Education on June 30, 2014. In 2015, the accreditation of the doctoral degree took place.
The school year 2011/2012 was the first accredited year of studying visual effects at FTF VŠMU.
At present, 33 students are studying at the Visual Effects Studio, 3 of them at the doctoral level and 9 at the master's level.
