Determination.

All interested parties can participate in the training course, regardless of experience or job classification. Interested applicants for film education at the VŠMU FTF are welcome. The course is also intended for workers in the field of audio-media creation in Slovakia, Bohemia and Moravia. Completion of secondary school education or its near future completion is assumed. The lower age limit is 16-17 years, the upper limit is unlimited.

Certificate.

After completing the summer training program, participants will receive a certificate of completion of the LŠFJ. This certificate is a document of the FTF VŠMU on the acquisition of basic creative experience in the field of film art.

A closer characterization of the teaching program.

During 12 working days, the participants of the program will acquire basic knowledge in the field of screenwriting, dramaturgy, directing, camera work, editing and sound post-production processing by means of video technologies in the basic genre areas of news, journalism, documentary production, feature film and television production.

The teaching method is lectures, seminars, exercises, analysis and creation of practical audiovisual products. Participants have the opportunity to bring their own work, in which they are interested in analysis. The participants will prepare preliminary documentary and drama topics in their home environment, which can be realized in improvised conditions in the streets of Bratislava or in the premises of the school.

On the last day of the LŠFJ, there will be a presentation of the created films with expert analysis by the teachers of the FTF VŠMU. At the same time, the participants will vote for the most popular film of the Summer School. The winner of the vote will receive a commemorative plaque. The films will then be posted on the FTF VŠMU school server.

Fee for the educational program.

The price of the training program is EUR 390. Pedagogical guidance and technical support of the program are included in the price. Accommodation, transport and food are at the own expense of the course participants.

... I am happy to announce that together with Ján Ž. and other guys, we started shooting our first feature film last week. I am sending you some pictures and short videos from the shooting in the attachment. We plan to finish filming by the end of October, and together with post-production it will probably be finished sometime in the first part of 2025. M.
