The Visual Effects Studio held its first ever workshop on April 26, 2013, and from the response from the audience, it was clear that it wouldn't be the last. We are already slowly planning the program for next year.
Although we expected a lot of interest in seeing our work, the turnout surprised us. Those present tried out keying in Adobe After Effects, while filming the material themselves in our studio. The assignment was relatively simple, but all the more interesting - jumping off a moving train. This seminar was led by teacher Mgr. art. Juraj Kilián, ArtD. The promotional poster for the event was made by Róbert Hruška as a 1st year AVFX student.
Our main program was a demonstration of creating a crowd scene in front of the Presidential Palace.
We then cut out the filmed material, where the workshop participants "starred", and copied it several times into the prepared scene. It is necessary to add that the entire scene of the Presidential Palace was created from two photos and the courtyard enlarged for our crowd. The result shows obvious errors - it is good to save on banners. Also, the limited time did not allow us to use several filmed variations of the crowd. The crowd scene, which would normally take several days to work on, was created by teacher and doctoral student Ing. Marek Ježo in two hours.
