AVFX studio assignment for entrance exams 2019.

The relationship between the three characters.

The aim of the assignment is to create a composition of 3 characters, which the candidate will photograph independently in the school studio and insert into the environment of the offered photographs. These are then inserted into the mandatory optional photographs, together with three other independently photographed props and one prop downloaded from the internet. The composition should have a surprising and imaginative character with an emphasis on creating an atmosphere.

Starting points:
1st set of exterior shots.
2. a set of photos intended for keying or cropping.
3. one prop downloaded from the internet at your own discretion.
4. a studio with a green background and a light park for photographing three figures.

Task:

Photograph two fellow extras, each separately on a green background, so that they are placed in the perspective of the selected background photo and create a relationship between them similar to that of filming a film, capturing emotion. Then have your colleagues photograph themselves as a full-body self-portrait, which you also insert in a dominant position into the cinematic atmosphere of filming the overall composition.

In addition, there should be a relationship between the three characters and at least three props photographed in the studio and one prop downloaded from the internet. The resulting format should be landscape with a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 or higher while maintaining the aspect ratio.

The candidate strives to create a unique atmosphere and at the same time the realism of the achieved result. In addition to changing the atmosphere, candidates can eliminate objects that do not fit the environment artistically, they can combine several environments from the offered materials into one. Full creativity is possible here.

Preparatory phase:

1. Applicants will draw a list of candidates in which they will take the photo shoot.
2. In the preparatory phase, candidates are shown all the background photos that they will have available.
3. Candidates will be introduced to the studio, light park, and green screen against which they will take photographs.
4. You have 10 minutes to prepare a concept. You can use the internet for inspiration.

Implementation phase:

1. The photography is carried out with three candidates in the studio space at the same time. The first one drawn is the author of the implementation, two students create models for him in such a way that they meet all his requirements and, according to the instructions, one of the models also photographs the author in the space. The author's figure in the composition should have a dominant position. He has 3 minutes to carry out the photography. Subsequently, the second and third candidates become photographers and the others assist him. The candidate who completed his exercise first leaves the studio first. The candidates take pictures with their own cameras.
2. The candidates upload the photographed images to their laptops simultaneously after all participants have finished photographing.
3. After uploading the photos, participants will receive a working set of photos by email, open their working software and all of them will start working on the assignment at the same time. The time for completion is 60 minutes. The time for completion also includes the time needed for export.
4. 5 minutes before the time expires, a prompt appears to export the result to the format: "PS_2019_CISLOUCHADZACA_Priezvisko_Meno_2D.jpg".

Evaluation phase:
The resulting projects are reviewed by AVFX teachers, who will assess the applicants' work in the context of other school and homework.
The results of participants advancing to the second round of oral interviews will be posted on the school's website.
