The object of the research is the use of technologies for 3D scanning and recording motion in a film work. The research is carried out from both a student and professional perspective in low-budget projects without the possibility of purchasing professional solutions. The aim of the work is to explain the basic principles of the technologies under study, provide a brief overview of available technological solutions and summarize research and experience with creating own solutions and their application in creative projects. The secondary aim is to describe the research process, the implementation of film projects and other activities of the author of this work during his doctoral studies. The work is intended for readers with at least basic knowledge in the field of visual effects, computer vision, the basics of photography, camera technology and optics.
