AVFX presentation at the Cineama film festival

Fifth-year students of the visual effects studio Tímea Michalčíková and Patrik Szekács took part in the 31st year of the Cineama film festival. As lecturers, they presented a workshop focused on green screen and the basics of keying to the participants and visitors of the festival. The workshop took place in the vestibule of the cinema in Bardejov spa for two days, on Friday (September 15, 2023) and Saturday (September 16, 2023) from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In the vestibule, a green screen installation was prepared with a screen on which keying took place live. The participants of the workshop had the opportunity to find themselves in environments from the future as soon as they stepped on the green screen. For more curious individuals, we prepared a short keying course in the professional Nuke program. The interested party could sit down at a prepared computer where the detailed steps of how the effect is created in professional practice were explained to him. The workshop was attended by approximately 150 people, from young future filmmakers to students to senior citizens. The students successfully answered all the questions of the interested parties and gave out some useful tips for their future film production.
